LESBIAN LIP SYNCS ON BROADWAY! MAE WEST MEETS METATHEATRICAL DRAG SHOW, PUTS QUEER LEGACY ON TRIAL! Bombshell broad Mae West and rising Broadway starlet Helen Menken are arrested in 1926 for artistic obscenity and summoned to a metatheatrical courtroom. Their charges: serving face, serving legacy, and serving queer community.

An intoxicating mix of drag show, courtroom drama, and theater, A Jury of Our Queers playfully blends historic texts and original writing in an act of radical queer reenvisioning.

Dmitri Barcomi (he/him) is a theater creator, director, and designer from New York City. His artistic interests include working with unusual source materials, integrating technology and live performance, and honoring queer icons. Dmitri’s work has been seen throughout New York at Ars Nova, HERE Arts, La MaMa, Cloud City, BRIC, and other hubs of experimental new work, as well as internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Teatr Słowackiego in Kraków.
