Fashion is a cycle of plays designed in recombinant form — an ongoing, wardrobe-like text in which each play can be worn separately, layered, or reassembled. With each iteration, the plays are placed in new relation to one another.

In this iteration, two plays follow a community’s search for new forms of attention. In tracing the evolving conditions of creation itself, the plays ask: how do we continue to build — relationships, art, futures — amidst shifting ground?

The development of Fashion is made possible through Immediate Medium’s artist development program, with additional support from a residency at the Irish Arts Center and from Clubbed Thumb.
