A Discussion of Masculine Decadence in 4 Parts is a durational performance installation manifested between experienced unrealities, illustrating the struggles and navigation of habitually gendered structures of mind/body while functioning as an exploration of confined space and calculated physicality linked throughout 4 non-consecutive states of exhibitionistic habitation. Interactions outline these dreamlike occurrences between what is initially presented as a standard example of the masculine form and 5 hand knit garments, each in its own way furthering shifts toward environmental and psychological blur of the subject while simultaneously challenging preconceived associations and inane connotations as objects invariably linked to the body within recognizable strictures interpreted by traditional assertions of time, craft, domestic ideation, fashion, and “Performance Art”.
